2012 is shaping up to be an incredible year for Blue Stream Records! We have been working on several exciting projects, and will be
releasing some new music in the coming months. We have some big things on the horizon...we'll keep you posted!
The debut EP from Singer/songwriter Kelsey Hickman is in the final phases of post-production. The songs have been
mixed and are being readied for mastering. These songs are sounding incredible, and we can't wait to get them out to the world. What started as
a plan to put a couple of songs down on CD has evolved to become an international project featuring some truly world-class musicians.
Legendary Nashville session and tour drummer Greg Morrow laid down the drums and Canadian guitarist Pete Lesperance
of Harem Scarem fame provided the guitars and bass. Eventually, additional tracks were provided from musicians in Canada, Russia, Australia and Italy as well
as Chicago and Bloomington, IL. Modern technology was a wonderful tool to help bring Kelsey's dream to life.
The artwork is being finalized now, and the project will be sent for manufacturing later this week, with a planned release date in March, just in time for
Kelsey's trip to Nashville to show off her stuff. We are excited to see what the future holds for her!
We are in pre-production rehearsals with our new modern rock band. The band currently has over 20 songs for us to select for their debut album. We plan
to finalize our selection in the next month and schedule our first recording sessions in Toronto, Canada shortly after that.
It's going to be a busy summer as we continue producing their new album and preparing the band for tour.
Singer Michael Knight has finished recording of his new album to be titled "In The Knight Time". This album
is the next installment in Michael's series of classic albums that feature his smooth and diverse vocals on songs from artists such as Frank Sinatra,
Billy Joel, Barry Manilow and many others.
We have several great projects going on over the next few months that will keep the studio busy.
Singer/songwriter Taylor June will be starting work on her new EP. Whereas Taylor's last EP featured
Taylor singing and playing acoustic guitar, her new EP will showcase Taylor's songwriting and singing skills will fully produced music.
Singer/songwriter Brian Steinhauer is working on a CD of new tunes. We'll be assisting Brian with recording and
mixing.
Modern progressive rock band Intricate Collapse will be back in the studio next month to start work on their
debut EP.
BSR Recording Artist (as yet unnamed) is working on their debut album due in spring 2012.
This modern rock band features some powerful rock grooves and melodies and amazing vocals from TWO powerful singers. These young rockers really know how to play!
