Jon Wheaton was destined to become a musician. Born into a family of musicians in which virtually every relative played an instrument or sang, he was surrounded by
music from birth. Blending influences from family members who performed in gospel groups, country bands, rock bands and music ministry, along with his own
style, Jon began creating music that was emotional and energetic.
With a natural voice that transitions flawlessly from subtle smooth to powerful energy, Jon can handle a variety of musical styles.
After fronting several popular southern Illinois bands, Jon decided to step out and make the music that was emerging from deep within. He has started his debut album
with Blue Stream Records, using some great session players to pull it all together. When the album is complete in early 2009 he'll be forming a touring band and
hitting the road to promote his music.
